Do you ever dream your small bathroom was larger? Small bathroom renovations can be easier than you think. These tips can make your old bathroom look new and, more importantly, bigger.

Work with the existing layout: You can save money by keeping the existing walls and bathtub. That does not mean you settle for less, rather improving what’s already there with small bathroom renovations.

Clear the Way: De-clutter the space and eliminate frosted shower doors. Small bathroom renovations will give the illusion of a larger room.

Build Up: One trick of bathroom designers is to build upwards for extra space. Install extra shelves on top of a cabinet, or add long shelves across a wall.

Re-tile the Floor: Larger floor tiles can actually make a bathroom look bigger. Choose textured tiles to prevent slipping and cover the skirting of the bathtub with a smaller version of the floor tile.

Add elegance: Simple small bathroom renovations can make the whole bathroom look and feel elegant. Try adding glass tiles on the vanity, decorative tiles on the tub or a live fern on a stand.

Downsize: You can purchase smaller sized tubs to fit into your existing space. These items are smaller but still big in style.
